Experienced Minnesota Tax Law and Estate Planning Attorneys
We concentrate our practice in the areas of family law, criminal law, probate administration, wills and estate matters, tax law and appeals.  Appelhof, Pfeifer & Hart, P.A., also offers mediation and parenting consulting services.  Some of the cases that we have handled in these areas of law include:
  • Divorce: We know that going through a divorce can be a very difficult time. You may have many questions, including who will get custody of the children, where will you live, will there be child or spousal support and also how will the assets and debts of the marriage be divided. We can help you answer these questions and give you an idea of what to expect as you are going through the process. We encourage mediation between the parties, when possible, as we believe this can result in an agreement that is beneficial to both sides. We can handle all of your family law issues, including divorce, custody, adoption, domestic abuse, child support and related matters.
  • Criminal law: Being charged with a crime can be a confusing and troubling time. If you have been charged with a crime, such as DWI/DUI, assault, traffic offenses such as speeding or other moving violations or other felonies or misdemeanors, it is important to hire an attorney as soon as possible. You have rights that you need to understand and protect.
  • Probate administration and estate planning:  When a loved one has passed away, tracking down their assets and debts can be a very demanding and time consuming task. We can assist you with all aspects of probate, from beginning to end. In addition, if you need to draft a will or living will, our attorneys can help you create the necessary documents that will help you pass along your property to your loved ones.
  • Tax law: If you owe back taxes, or need to file amended tax returns, we can help you prepare the necessary documents. We can discuss the options that are available to you, and also develop strategies in an effort to lessen any possible penalties that you may be facing.
  • Appeals: In most cases, decisions of an administrative agency, district court judge, referee or child support magistrate may be appealed to a higher authority, such as the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Do not delay, as the ability to appeal most decisions are governed by strict rules regarding deadlines for an appeal
